This international meeting point has already announced the date of the new edition of Light + Building 2026, which will take place from 8 to 13 March.
During March, Ramqui I+I had the opportunity to visit what is considered the most important event in the lighting sector. Light + Building, an international meeting focused on the latest trends, was held from 3 to 8 March. This eagerly awaited fair was held in Frankfurt and hosted 2,169 exhibitors. All of them presented the latest advances in building technology and innovations in lighting design.
In addition, over the six days, the show welcomed more than 151,000 visitors who enjoyed the leading trade fair for lighting technology and building services. According to official figures, 95 per cent of attendees said they were very satisfied with what was on display. They also said they had achieved 93 per cent of their attendance targets for the show.
Sustainability, connectivity, work and life
This year’s Light + Building featured a full and diverse programme: the Designplus awards ceremony, high-level expert lectures, cycling for a good cause and visitors from the world of politics. In addition, the main topics that are currently driving the industry were discussed, with a special focus on sustainability, connectivity, work and life.
From start to finish, Light + Building 2024 was packed with exciting innovations. Numerous market leaders presented their inspiring lighting designs and solutions for modern electrical engineering. Intelligent home and building automation and connected security technology were also unveiled.
High level of internationality
Statistics show that a total of 146 countries participated, including India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, Brazil and Singapore. The degree of internationality among visitors was 51 per cent and among exhibitors 76 per cent.

Preparing the next edition
Following the success of this edition, the organisers have already announced the date of the new edition of Light + Building 2026, which will be held from 8 to 13 March.
